Gallery Guides for the Davis Museum
Gallery Guides for the Davis Museum
I designed a pamphlet to engage gallery visitors for the Davis Museum's fall 2016 exhibition Partners In Design: Alfred H. Barr Jr. and Philip Johnson.
This gallery guide traveled with the exhibition to Montréal, Germany, and New York in 2017.
Partners in Design explores the collaboration between the first director of the Museum of Modern Art, Alfred Barr, and Philip Johnson, MoMA’s first curator of architecture. Together these men brought modernism to North America, particularly the innovative ideals of rational and functional design developed at the Bauhaus school at Dessau, Germany between the World Wars I and II.
I also designed an interactive scavenger hunt activity pamphlet for the Davis Museum's fall 2015 Family Day, a free event that encourages children and their families to explore exhibitions throughout the museum's galleries. This event's theme was "Paint and Canvas" which explored different techniques and forms of paintings from ancient to contemporary.
